The Forbes Residence
The Forbes Family rebuilt their home into a fine example of sustainable living after a devastating fire.
The 1400 PV system powers the 110volt side of the home as a (SAS) Stand Alone System, while the 42 ft. tall Vertical Axis Wind Turbine pumps homemade electricity into the grid all day and night long (wind permitting).
The wind turbine is the first Co-Gen system with the D.W.P. operating since July of 1983. Hot water panels heat all domestic water including the Spa.
A low maintenance yard and plants also help the Forbes family to spend more time in the great out doors. Directions
